Our Mission

Who We Are

We’re not a big-box chain. We’re not a one-man shop running a weekend side hustle. Keystone Solid Surfaces is a family-owned fabrication facility in Wichita, Kansas, with a second location in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and a track record that speaks for itself.

Since 2003, we’ve been cutting, shaping, and installing countertops the right way. That means precision equipment, real craftspeople, and a standard we’d hold to if the countertop were going in our own homes.

In this business, your name is on every install, and we take that seriously.

Our Story

How We Got Here

From a Small Shop in Benton to 50,000 Square Feet in Wichita

Keystone started in 2003 in Benton, Kansas, fabricating solid surface countertops out of a modest shop. In 2008, we added a Saw Waterjet and two CNC routers, which opened the door to natural stone and quartz. The client list grew. The work got more complex. We kept up.

In 2017, childhood friends Cyle Barnwell and Spencer Allen bought the company. At the time, Keystone had 12 employees and was producing around 150 to 200 square feet of countertops a day. That was a solid operation. It wasn’t enough.

Over the next three years, they pushed hard. The team doubled. The volume climbed. The Benton location ran out of room.
In April 2021, Keystone moved to a new facility in Wichita. New equipment. More capacity. Room to grow into what we knew this company could be.

Today, we operate out of 57,000 square feet of production space, fabricate over 1,000 square feet of custom countertops every single day, and employ more than 80 full-time people. In May 2025, we opened our second showroom in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, bringing Keystone’s standard of work to the Kansas City market.

We’re not slowing down.

Our Values

What Drives Us

Three Words. No Wiggle Room.

Community

We grew up in Wichita. Our clients’ trust doesn’t come from a marketing campaign. It comes from showing up, doing good work, and being the kind of company your neighbors recommend without being asked. Every install is a chance to earn it again.

Craftsmanship

Every countertop that leaves our facility was precision-fabricated in-house. We run the equipment. We train the people. We do not sub out the work that matters. When a countertop gets installed in your kitchen or bathroom, it was built by our hands, with our standards attached.

Integrity

Family-owned means we stand behind what we say. The price we quote is the price you pay. The timeline we give is the one we work to hit. If something changes, we tell you. No fine print. No runaround. That’s been true since 2003, and it hasn’t changed.
